Food Donations to the Food bank of South Jersey
BSSJ is partnering with the Cherry Hill Unitarian Church to donate food to the Food Bank of South Jersey. By Sunday, Oct. 18th we will set up a donation box in the lower level of the Hillside Building at the Church where you may drop off donations. These will be periodically transferred to the church and then to the Food Bank of South Jersey. The types of donations that are suitable are limited to the following:
Most needed items for donations:
• High-Protein: meat (ham, spreads, stews, chicken); fish (tuna, salmon, sardines);
vegetarian (nuts, seeds, peanut butter and other nut butters, and beans)
• Dairy: evaporated and powdered milk; puddings and custards; infant formula (plastic
containers only)
• Fruits & Vegetables: canned fruit, canned vegetables, 100% fruit and vegetable
juices, soups, sauces, and condiments.
• Breads & Cereals: breakfast cereals, rice, pasta, and muffin/bread mixes.
• Household Goods: (must be kept separate from food donations) diapers, paper
products, and cleaning supplies and detergents.

Please Note: We cannot accept previously opened containers, repackaged and homemade items, products dated 2005 or earlier, perishables (i.e. breads, pies, cakes, produce (fresh or frozen), glass bottles/containers, or aluminum soda cans.
Buddhist Sangha of South Jersey Business Meeting
We will have our next Business Meeting on Sunday, November 22 at 5:30 PM in our usual meeting place at the Unitarian Church of Cherry Hill. Some topics that we will address are: a financial report, suggestions for future guest teachers, our liturgy and any other topic that members of the Sangha want to bring up.
